Western Turnpike Rescue Squad Gets New CPR Equipment
(September 10, 2016) - The Western Turnpike Rescue Squad in Guilderland showcased its new state-of-the-art rescue mannequins at Community Day at the Guilderland Y on September 10th.
The mannequins provide real-time feedback to enhance the learning for hands-only CPR. New CPR kits, available to lay people for home training, are also available.
The equipment was purchased with a $2,300 grant from the Albany County Legislature. Grant sponsor, Guilderland County Legislator Mark Grimm (left), received instruction from EMT/Driver Dante Smith.
WTRS Executive Director Drew Chesney applied for the grant.
